   Thank you, Susan. To anyone that reads this. The video above is a MUST WATCH video before using Zoho CRM because you learn so much info and it will make sure you get the best from your CRM system

   Hello Susan,
   I am new to Zoho and have a quick question (or two)…..

   When I import to the Contacts field, it automatically updates the Accounts field as well! I only want my import to go to the Contacts field, how can I prevent it from copying to other fields?

   Also, if data suddenly is lost, can the data be recovered? For some reason, all the data in the Leads file under my boss’s sign in is suddenly missing? But ONLY under his sign in? Can you help me with that?

   If I want to sort by date, do I need to add a “date” field in my spreadsheet prior to importing? If so, will that date field be mapped and carried over?

   I think that is all for now, any help you can be will be greatly appreciated!

     Wanda, Welcome to Zoho. If you don’t want to update the Account field, then don’t map that field. But it is important, before you get to the field map, where you are uploading the file, be sure to leave that one option checked to NOT overwrite fields with Blanks (unless you want to blank out some fields).

     You can undo an import of new contacts, but if you used the overwrite option, then you cannot undo any fields that have been overwritten. Consequently it is a good option to make a backup before you do an Import that Updates. Optionally, if you just mapped an incorrect field, you can do the import again and map the fields correctly.

     As for lost data…can you see the data that belongs to boss? If so, perhaps he has a view selected like Today’s Leads, where is filtering his list too narrowly. Switch to All Leads.
     Alternately, if the Leads were deleted, you can check the Recycle Bin in Tools.

     There is a Create Date field that is automatically added to the Contact Created By field, so you don’t really need to create a date field.
